You can easily travel by public transport tot Brussels, Louvain, Antwerp and Lier where you can do some historical sightseeing. As you can tell, we have many assets tot make your stay at the youth hostel an unforgettable one!

De Zandpoort is more than the average Bed & Breakfast! On foot: 10 minutes walk from both Central Station and Nekkerspoel Station.
Coming from Brussels by the E-19 motorway: take exit Mechelen Zuid and follow direction to the city centre (passing the Central Station on your way).
Go right at the traffic lights. When you’ve passed two more traffic lights you’ll see youth hostel “De Zandpoort” just before car park Zandpoort 2.

Coming from Antwerp by the E-19 motorway, take exit Mechelen Noord and follow direction Nekker. Go right past a hospital (Dodoens) and just before a railway bridge. You’ll see the youth hostel with its blue front and big car park. Utopolis (cinema), De Nekker (recreation centre) and De Nekkerhal are close by (only 15 minutes away on foot).
